Finding Strength in Change: Why Resilience Matters More Than Ever
Resilience, not just a fancy word, but like, our secret sauce for dealing with life's twists and turns. It's more than just a good-to-have skill; it's the real deal, especially with the world doing its crazy dance. I'm figuring out the nuts and bolts of building resilience, and it's hitting me – we really need this stuff in our lives.
have we forgotten? Forgetfulness
People are being pushed into unattainable expectations of their own capacity. I believe that it is important to remember that humans are the ones who make companies thrive and succeed. AI and Tech are great supplements, but in order to be useful the setting needs to be human.
It's time that we begin to focus on what will make our businesses thrive: human connections.
It's Hard To Get Along With People
collaboration necessary but hard, here’s how to overcome the hurdles
curiousity
Follow your curiosity wherever it leads you. Let it guide you down the rabbit holes of fascinating subjects, and don't be afraid to explore the intersections between seemingly unrelated fields. It is at these intersections where innovation and groundbreaking ideas often reside.
livi(a)ng fearlessly
We all have fears and doubts, but we can learn to live fearlessly in spite of them. The key is to start by becoming aware of our thoughts and what we tell ourselves, then letting go of old patterns that no longer serve us. Once we do this, we can begin to allow ourselves curiosity and daydreaming again; be open to new things; allow ourselves courage; and remember that we are infinitely more than any one story about who we are.
Procrastination my biggest sin, except for chocolate and wine
We all procrastinate, but it's important to know that it doesn't have to be a bad thing. In fact, there are some benefits of putting off certain tasks until later in the day or week-like giving yourself more time to think about what you want out of life!
build your personal brand
Building a brand is not easy and it's certainly not something that can be done overnight. But if you're willing to put in the work, stay true to yourself and find your unique voice, then you'll be well on your way to building a brand people want to work with.
motivation, drive, grit and discipline-how they all matter and why they all deserve a place
how do I stay motivated? And is motivation really enough? How does drive and disciple play a part in the equation of getting things done?
selfawareness-futureproofing yourself
What we can do is to excel in our ability to be human. We have worked so hard to industrialize our office work into lean processes and rules that it almost seams as if it is aimed for dehumanizing people in the system. Ironically the one thing we've tried to remove is the one skill that we need to develop and be even more mindful of. Being human at the office means understanding who we are, how we come across and how to relate to one another. In short being self aware. According to research by Dr Tasha Eurich, author of the book insight, self-awareness is one of the fundamental strengths in the future yet there are only 10% of us that are. She calls them self awareness unicorns. I work on becoming one of them, and to spread the message! This weeks presentation is about a hands on psychological model that you can use, starting today.
