take a break
Sometimes taking a break from your routine can help you clear your mind and give you a fresh perspective. Start with doing 1 thing differently, drive a new way to work, sit in a new place, or maybe the scariest thing of all for a half Italian replace your coffee with tea.
explore new things
Trying new things can be a great way to spark your creativity. Explore new sides of yourself, visit a new place, or try a new activity. If you love to jog take a walk, if you love walking try running. It is not about what you do but rather the fact that you allow yourself to be a beginner in something, and that you stretch your mind and allow yourself to be out of your comfort zone for a while. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll learn.
look for inspiration
Look for inspiration in the world around you. Take a walk in nature, listen to music, or read a book. You might find that inspiration strikes when you least expect it.
set aside time for creativity
Make time in your schedule to be creative. Whether it's a few minutes a day or a few hours a week, dedicating time to your creative pursuits can help you get back into the flow. If you feel that your calander is too empty, good for you this is an excellent time to schedule creativity slots in your agenda. If your calendar is full make time for you and your creative needs!
collaborate with others
Collaborating with others can be a great way to spark your creativity. You might find that working with others brings new ideas and perspectives to your work. It is amazing how much a phone call with a friend or colleague can do to set your thoughts on fire. So what are you waiting for pick up the phone and be ready for new thoughts!
practice regularly
Like any skill, creativity takes practice. Make a habit of setting aside time for creative work, even if it's just a few minutes a day. I start my mornings with morning pages, a journaling practice where I force myself to write 3 pages every morning. It is weird how much easier the thoughts come to me after that.
